Staff Handbook

Congratulations and welcome to the Fakepixel Giveaways staff team. This handbook presents your roles and responsibilities as a staff member. Every staff member is expected to follow these guidelines at all times — disregarding anything specified here will put your position in danger.

Introduction

Your duty as a staff member is to ensure that all members have the best experience possible. If you have questions, do not hesitate to ask a fellow staff member.

⚠️ Important Notice
Please keep in mind that your conduct on other servers also influences your staff position here. Being acutely toxic or cheating on other servers will not be tolerated and will result in a demotion.

Staff Rules

The following rules apply to every staff member at all times. You are not allowed to create your own rules or punish anyone based on personal reasons — only what is stated within this guide.

    Rules — All server rules apply to staff. Failure to follow them will result in a punishment.
  • 💼
    Professionalism — You are required to be professional at ALL times, across all platforms. No bad language around members. Harassment will lead to a warn depending on severity.
  • 🏷️
    Nicknames — You MUST NOT use inappropriate nicknames. Changing others' nicknames without permission will result in a green warn.
  • 📸
    Evidence — All staff must post proof of punishments in #punishment-logs. Forgetting may earn you a warn.
  • 🚫
    Abusing Permissions — Abusing any permissions for any reason — including as a joke — will result in a green or red warn.
  • Activity — Every staff member must be active for at least 8 hours per week. Inactivity longer than a day requires #absences.
  • 🎫
    Tickets — Tickets are ALWAYS to remain professional. Whoever claimed the ticket first owns it. Do not enter another staff's ticket without permission. After 20 minutes unreplied, you may take over if you can progress it.
  • 🔒
    Borders — Do not reveal who issued a punishment to the punished player. (Note: Revealing this is considered a staff leak.)
  • 🤐
    Staff Information — Any information accessible only to staff must remain private. Leaking staff guides, appeals, reports, etc. will result in at least a red warn, demotion, and possible blacklist.
  • ⚖️
    Fairness — Be fair to every member. Punishments based on personal disputes are strictly forbidden.
  • 🔐
    Discord 2FA — You must have 2FA enabled on your Discord account. Non-staff people cannot be in staff voice channels.

FP Linked Role Requirement: When you create a giveaway in any channel (e.g., #chit-chat or #giveaway), you must add the required role: FP Linked. This is compulsory and prevents members from joining with alt accounts.

Absence Nickname: If you are taking an absence, use /nick to add the "Absence" prefix to your name — e.g., [Absence] siddhu_piddhu — or ask a higher to set your nick.

Sponsor Trade Log Requirement: After receiving sponsor money or items from the ticket creator, you must send a trade log screenshot or recording in the ticket. Failure to provide proof may result in a red warn or demotion.
  • If a sponsored giveaway has different amounts for different winners in one giveaway (e.g., 1st: 100m, 2nd: 50m, 3rd: 25m), the ticket must be handled by an Administrator or higher.
  • Giveaway worth 50m+: only Helpers or Moderators may handle the ticket.
  • Giveaway worth 100m+: must be handled by an Administrator or higher.
  • If a lower staff member collects coins/items, they must pass them to an Administrator after creating the giveaway.

Winner Transfer in #chit-chat: If a winner transfers their prize to someone else, you must block the original winner from claiming it using /giveaway block link: user: block: reason:. Failure to do so is not the server's responsibility.

Professionalism Reminder: As an officially partnered community server, our professionalism must match our status. Two key areas where lapses have been observed:
  • Ticket Patience: Estimated response time is 15–30 minutes. Do NOT ping @Giveaway Assistant or higher roles within minutes of a ticket opening. Pinging after only 3 minutes is unprofessional.
  • Moderation Chain of Command: Direct timeouts/mutes without a prior warning are for Extreme Violations only (e.g., raiding, severe slurs). For chat fights or disputes, you MUST attempt to de-escalate first, then give a formal warning in the channel before muting.
Please re-read the Staff Guidebook and #staff-faq. Logs will be monitored closely.

Warning System

Updated

Warnings are issued when a staff member violates the staff code of conduct. Rule breaking and multiple warns will lead to demotions.

Verbal Warning
Used for very small or silly mistakes. Does not formally count toward a demotion threshold but is a caution.
Green Warn
Used for small offenses/mistakes.

Expires after 7 days.

Accumulate 3 Green Warns → converts into 1 Red Warn.
Red Warn
Used for bigger offenses/mistakes.

Expires after 15 days.

Accumulate 2 Red WarnsDemotion.
⚠️ While Under Any Warning
You are ineligible for promotion while under an active warning. Avoid getting warns at all costs.

Hosting Giveaways

Updated

Giveaway Assistants are expected to host 3–4 giveaways per week. Consistency is more important than excuses. If you are unable to host, inform a Community Manager or above.

Use /giveaway create to host a giveaway. Always ping @Giveaway — never @everyone or @here.

📋 Payout Rules
  • ⏱️ Payouts must be completed within 24 hours — failure leads to a verbal warn, then green warn if ignored.
  • 📝 Log every payout in both #gw-payouts and #gw-records. Follow the channel format.
  • 🎫 Close the claim ticket after paying and logging.
  • ❌ If the winner doesn't provide their IGN within 24 hours, close with reason: "Giveaway Claim duration expired".
  • 🔴 Ensure the AH is set to BIN (not Bid). Bid is not acceptable for payouts.
🎮 Participation Rule
You are not allowed to join any giveaway with a prize below 50m per person.

Ticket Handling

Professionalism in tickets is mandatory. The following steps must be followed for every ticket.

    Claim First — Always use /ticket claim before saying anything. Whoever claims the ticket owns it.

    Warm Welcome — Greet the user with: "Hello, @user! Welcome to Fakepixel Giveaways Server. I'll be assisting you today."
  3. 3
    Professional Grammar — Use full stops (.) after sentences, commas (,) properly, and question marks (?) when asking questions.

    Close When Done — Always close the ticket after finishing all work. Do not leave completed tickets open.

🚫 Appeal Tickets
Do not handle appeal tickets unless absolutely necessary. If stuck, ask an admin or higher in #staff-chat.

Staff Absence

    If you cannot be active for more than 3 days, fill a staff absence form. Most absences are approved easily.
  • 📅
    Maximum absence duration is 1 month.
  • ⚠️
    Being inactive for more than 1 week without filling an absence risks demotion without warning.
  • 🏷️
    While on absence, add the [Absence] prefix to your nickname using /nick — e.g., [Absence] siddhu_piddhu.

Absence format: Name / Reason / Duration. Accepted by Deputy or above only. Once ticked ✅, your absence is approved.

Punishment Guide

If anyone violates the server rules, you have the responsibility to punish them. All punishments must be logged in #punishment-logs.

Each promotion is based on activity, attitude, contribution, and leadership. Approved by Staff Managers and Co-Owners.

Weekly & Monthly Announcements

Every Sunday, a weekly staff announcement is posted covering important notes, Staff of the Week, and other updates.

On the first day of every month, the staff member who received Staff of the Week the most times will be awarded Staff of the Month.
